Stress free and fun exploring Porto with Rui a friendly expert guide to hidden gems and local food treasures
It is so much better having a professional and private tour guide than doing it yourself. You could do it yourself, but it would be more stressful and you would probably waste time and miss hidden gems. Ruis was fantastic. Everything was planned perfectly. It was like having a friend with us who knew all of the best things to see. We had a great food tour in Porto. We went to the National Park, coastal villages up north and then Braga and Guimaraes where the monarchy started.

An unexpected tour to the hospital...
Our tour guide/driver, Rui is exceptional, very well informed, and a great guide in every way. His knowledge of Porto, the Douro Valley and the surrounding areas is exceptional. Not only is he a great guide, but a kind and compassionate human being. On our tour of Guimaraes castle my partner fell and hit her head. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Rui followed the ambulance to the hospital and stayed with us during the 7+ hours she was there, helping with navigating the health care system in Portugal, completing paperwork and acting as a translator since neither one of us spoke Portuguese. In addition, he continued to check on us even after we returned home. You can’t go wrong having Rui show you the sights in Porto and the surrounding areas. He will make your visit to Portugal one of the best experiences ever.

"Rui was fantastic! It was great. Rui were friendly and showed us all the best landmarks and sites - as well the history of the cities we visited. He really go the extra mile on the little things like keeping us walking in the shade and sending the best recommendations for food/sightseeing in the city we were headed to next with a different guide. All around great experience - highly recommend it. He also had a fabulous playlist when we were driving. Rui was extremely thoughtful with the planning of the day.
